A Day Out of Time: Cayuga County Fair Demo

Hear ye! Hear ye! Joyfully, do we, the Shire of Angels Keep announce A Day Out
of Time II: A Demo for the Cayuga County Fair!
For a second year, The Shire is participating in demonstrating the arts,
sciences, and combat of the Society for two days, Saturday and Sunday, July 9th and 10th, at the Cayuga County Fair in Weedsport NY! At the County's invitation we will be demonstrating our favorite thingsto the public. Please do come and join us for a day (or two) of fun. Please feel free to bring objects to show, crafts to share, and friends to trade blows with! We have a new, large spot to play in replete with shade, water, electricity and easy access to the Midway. The county is providing hay bales for extra seating, and we will have pop-ups for cover. Water and Gatorade will be provided by the Shire, foods will be available on the Midway.
Set-up will be starting at 8:30am - 10am on Saturday, and the demo will run from 11am-7pm each day.Fair gates open to the public at 11:00am.
PLEASE NOTE! Directions are changed slightly from last year, as the main entrance to the grounds has been moved.
From all regions:
Take your best route to New York State Thruway , Exit 40
1. Take the RT-34 exit, EXIT 40, toward WEEDSPORT/AUBURN.
2. 0.33 mi.,at end of ramp, Turn RIGHT onto RT-34.
3. 0.56 mi., at traffic light, Turn LEFT onto RT-31.
4. Take the first left off route 31 on to Towpath Road.
5. Follow signs to Fairgrounds parking and the main gate.
6. At the gate, identify yourselves as SCA:Shire of Angels Keep, and they will direct you to our area.You may drive up to the site to off-load, at which time we will direct you to a parking area. The Fair is trying to get us parking close-by, but we will not know for certain until that day. Carpooling is recommended as parking may be limited for late arrivals. Some local crash space is available, camping on site is not allowed. Local hotel information is available on the Angels Keep website,www.angelskeep.net , or from the autocrats.
For those groups who are unable to join us, please do email the autocrat with contact information (and the areas your group covers), so that we may post it for out-of-area visitors. This is a great opportunity for recruiting new members and showing the best of the Society to the public.
As an additional incentive, the Fair has free admission for each day, and on Saturday evening (with ticket purchase) the Speedway will be presenting Demolition Derby!
