Don Benedict Fergus atte Mede, called Fergus

Don Benedict was a Ladies' man almost from the cradle. His mother, Lady Hellen Bedde, was a favorite of the gentlemen of Queen Elizabeth's court, and she taught her son the finer points of flirtation. For him it came as easily and as naturally as breathing. He was the champion of seduction until he crossed paths with Señorita Elvira Fernandez y Medina, daughter of the Spanish Ambassador, Señor Fernando Ramirez y Castilla de Saragossa. It is unclear as to who seduced whom, but when the outraged Ambassador discovered them, it took all of Lady Hellen's considerable charms to convince Señor Fernando that DonBenedict would be better served in exile, rather than married to the lovely but decidedly impure Señorita Elvira.
Thus it was that Don Benedict found himself travelling to Ireland at the express orders of Her Majesty. His mother had narrowed Don Benedict's patronage down to the small village of Mede, so that's where he started. Unfortunately for Lord Fergus, as he now called himself, he so strongly resembled his Highwayman father that the entire village rose up as one and kidnapped him one dark night. After a short and bumpy ride in the back of a fleecewagon, the small but determined group arrived at the coast in time to meet up with the notorious piratess Gráinne Ni Mhaille, aka Grace O'Malley. Upon hearing their tale, and talking to Don Fergus himself (and inspecting the goods) she purchased him for the princely sum of £2, 6s, 14d as her own personal "cabin boy". Howver, all good things must come to an end. When his very pleasurable years in Grace's company drew to their inevitable close, Don Fergus signed onto one of her ships, the Sea Wolfe where he served as First Mate, honing his skill with his rapier as well as his wit. He's a sometime mercenary, sometime pirate, and a totally irresponsible landowner. Despite his profligate lifestyle, Don Fergus is surrounded by his Angels, a fierce fighting troupe of his own training. He's a former Cadet to Don Behrend von Elmendorf.
Interests:
Fencing, Middle English Literature, language, and the Canton of Angels Keep. Oh yes... and Wine, women and song, but not necessarily in that order.
