Martial Arts: Fencing
Beginning June 13, 2011 for the duration of the summer, fencing practice will be held on Monday nights from 7 pm intil dark at Emerson Park, Route 38A in Auburn, NY on the lawn in front of the Merry Go Round Theatre. There is a $2.00 per car parking fee, payable at the gate. Season passes are available for $20. Handicapped parking is free.
From Rochester or Syracuse, take the New York State Thruway to Weedsport (Exit 40). Take Rt. 34 South to Auburn. Follow Rt. 34 & 38 South (South Street) to Swift Street (Rt. 38 South). Take Swift Street East to Lake Ave. Turn right and continue South on Rt. 38 past the High School to the traffic circle. Continue around the traffic circle and follow Rt. 38A toward the East side of the lake to the Park entrance.
From Ithaca take Rt. 34 North to Auburn. On South Street (Rt. 34), turn right (East) on Metcalf Drive to Lake Ave. and turn right (South) on Rt. 38 past the High School to the traffic circle. Continue around the traffic circle and follow Rt. 38A toward the East side of the lake to the Park entrance.
If you can't find us, call 315-209-9331 and we'll try to guide you in. Cancellations for weather or school closings will be posted as early in the day as possible on the Angels Keep and Delftwood email lists for those of you with a drive to get here. See you all there!!

There is no Archery Practice in the Keep, but the the Barony of Delftwood holds theirs close by! For information, please see the Barony of Delftwood.

Arts & Sciences
Arts & Science (A&S) meetings are on the 1st, 3rd, and (if there is one) the 5th Sundays of the month at 3-6 pm. We meet at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 607 North Seward Avenue, Auburn NY 13021, in the downstairs meeting room. Topics will vary, and since we are a small group people will very often bring whatever they are currently working on and it becomes a stitch n' scribe n' song n' bull night. If you're interested in a specific topic be sure to mention it, and even if someone in the group isn't familiar with it, you can be sure they will be able to find someone who is.
How to find us: From Syracuse, take Rte 5 into Auburn. Make a left onto North Seward Ave (by the Taco Bell). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill.
From points west: Take your best way to Rte 20 East (Arterial/Grant Ave). Make a right onto North Seward (at the Fast Trac gas station). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill and past the Women's Health Specialists.
From the south, Catch either Rte 34 or Rte 38 and turn right onto Rtes 5 & 20 East (Grant Ave/Arterial). Make a right onto North Seward (at the Fast Trac gas station). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill and past the Women's Health Specialists.
From the North, come in on either Rte 34 or Rte 38 and turn left onto Rtes 5 & 20 East (Grant Ave/Arterial). Make a right onto North Seward (at the Fast Trac gas station). The UU is a small red building on your right, just over the crest of the hill and past the Women's Health Specialists.
Business Meetings
Generally, Shire business will be taken care of on the 1st Sunday of the month at the A&S meeting. Official matters may also be discussed on the Shire newsgroup. |
